Sony on its PS3 blog Monday announced a minor security update, 3.55, is live on the PS3. It doesn’t have much else to say about the update, which many believe is meant to find and restore hacked consoles. The update is required for those who visit the PlayStation Store or log into the PlayStation Network regularly.
The last version of the PS3 firmware, 3.50, was jailbroken without the need to downgrade to an earlier OS.
