Wahoo Fitness, an iPhone-powered fitness vendor for running and cycling enthusiasts, announced the RFLKT iPhone bike computer. Using Bluetooth Smart, Wahoo’s product allows cyclists to transmit cycling data from a carried iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 wirelessly to the handlebar-mounted RFLKT.
Equipped with control buttons, cyclists can operate the Wahoo Fitness App, toggle between screens, start or stop intervals and even control iPhone functionality such as music playback all from the RFLKT, while the iPhone remains safely in a jersey pocket or bike mounted compartment. At launch, the RFLKT will be compatible with the Wahoo Fitness App, and has more scheduled to roll out in the future.
The device weighs two ounces and measures 2.4 inches long, 1.6 inches wide, and 0.5 inches high. A coin cell battery powers the RFLKT and has a life of over one year and requires no charging. The handlebar computer is available now for $130.
