iPad 2 will be available in select Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com beginning tomorrow, March 11, 2011.
Walmart.com will also offer free shipping on the iPad 2 through its Site to Store service. Site to Store allows customers to purchase items like the iPad 2 at Walmart.com and have it shipped for free to a local Walmart store.
National Rollout of ‘Pick Up Today’
Speaking of Walmart and shopping options with them. Walmart announced its plans to take the Pick Up Today service nationally. The service enables customers to purchase items online and receive free same-day pickup at a local Walmart store
“Pick Up Today” will begin its national rollout later this month and, by June, is expected to be available in nearly 3,600 Walmart stores nationwide. The service will also expand to include up to 40,000 items across multiple categories such as Baby, Toys, Home Decor, Hardware, Outdoor Living, Electronics, Household Appliances and Video Games. Online orders are usually ready for pickup in about 4 hours, and orders placed after 6 p.m. are ready for pickup at 10 a.m. the next day.
