The Wikipad has reached the FCC for testing, with the federal filing showing off the tablet without its detachable controller. The retooled gaming tablet, complete with the smaller 7-inch display instead of the 10.1-inch version it was originally shown to have, is pictured by the Commission with and without its back cover, along with profile shots of its internal circuitry.
Inside the Wikipad is an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM, along with 16GB of storage that can be boosted via microSD. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Wikipad will run at a resolution of 1280×800, offer a front-facing 2-megapixel camera, a micro-HDMI port, and a 4,100 mAh battery. The detachable controller offers dual analog sticks, a D-pad, and four main buttons. It is reportedly shipping for $249.
