Sprint, along with its partner Clear, today grew its WiMAX footprint in three key cities. The 4G-level service is now officially active in Boston, Daytona Beach and Providence, Besides its new smartphones, Sprint is supplying the Overdrive pocket router and its typical USB modem lineup for Macs and PCs.
Pricing for WiMAX depends on the service and device, but Sprint typically charges $60 per month for a plan that gives both unlimited 4G and 5GB of 3G.
Sprint, with its partner Clear, currently cover 51 cities with 4G speeds but has yet to reach New York City, LA or the San Francisco Bay Area.
