Clear is now offering New York residents its high-speed WiMAX Internet service. The service will initially cost $35 per month if users decide to upgrade by the end of September. The rate jumps to $55 after the first two months. The first 20 people to sign up are also eligible to receive a free WiMAX USB stick that can roam to Sprint’s 3G networks. The stick otherwise costs $115.
New York City WiMAX service is officially due to go online by the end of September and should be joined by Sprint’s own service.
