Entrepreneurs have successfully engaged the Kickstarter funding platform to release the WINGstand iPad and keyboard stand. The stand anchors a wireless keyboard and an iPad, iPhone or other tablet or smartphone, together in a notebook-style configuration, allowing easy typing and quick muti-touch access. The stand allows quick reconfiguring of the iPad, switching between vertical and horizontal, and it can also be used as a simple stand without a keyboard. The stand ships in two pieces, allowing each to be moved in or out along the keyboard to accommodate larger or smaller items, like switching between an iPad and an iPhone. The WINGstand is made of polycarbonate via injection molding and will be available in black and white for $20, with production expected to begin Aug. 26.
