Filmmaker Patty Jenkins has just posted the first official photo of Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva in the upcoming sequel Wonder Woman 1984 at Warner Bros. Pictures. In the film Minerva will transform into the villain Cheetah at some point.
The sequel to last year’s hit DC film, the action flashes forward to the 1980s with Diana facing The Cheetah. Chris Pine reprises his Steve Trevor role, while Pedro Pascal also stars.
Jenkins, Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing Wonder Woman 1984 which is currently in production ahead of a November 2019 release.
