Yahoo recently indicated via its support pages that it will soon no longer support Facebook or Google login for Flickr.
Yahoo first revealed plans to remove Facebook/Google login back in March. Yahoo will eventually require users to sign in with a Yahoo ID for all its services, and Flickr is the latest such service to reach that milepost. Yahoo has already removed the Facebook and Google sign-in buttons from its sites and services.
In March, Yahoo said the change “will allow [it] to offer the best personalized experience to everyone.” Yahoo said support for Facebook/Google login will stop working for Flickr on June 30, and it is already prompting users to create a Yahoo ID if they don’t yet have one.
