Real-time betting app, YouBetMe, has officially launched for iOS, allowing its users to place wagers on anything desired.
The app is intended for those who are not interested in wagering through established gambling pools or with ‘bookies’, and facilitates casual bets with friends for drinks or dinner. Account set-up can be completed through Facebook Connect. Real money is permitted in YouBetMe, however with no payment system included in the app, users are required to acquire their winnings on their own. Reneging on a bet shows up on a user’s profile within the app.
Including an SMS system, bets can be placed via text message when an Internet connection is not available. YouBetMe’s social sharing element features a social betting stream of what bets are trending in the user’s network.
Available for free, YouBetMe requires iOS 6 or later. An Android-compatible version is scheduled to be released within the coming months.
