The Wii and Wii U versions of Young Justice: Legacy have been canceled. An update on the game’s official Facebook page (via Nintendo Life) from developer Little Orbit explains that the decision was made because the platforms “presented challenges we couldn’t overcome.”
“Based on several factors we’ve had to cancel the Wii and Wii U versions of Young Justice: Legacy,” reads the statement. “We regret that this decision will prevent some fans from playing the game and the finding out what happens in the story.”
“There were a number of reasons ranging from quality issues to lack of retailer support, but know that we didn’t make this decision lightly,” the statement goes on. “We are a fairly new company, and unfortunately both of these platforms presented challenges we couldn’t overcome. Please accept our sincere apology.”
The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, 3DS, and PC versions of Young Justice: Legacy will be released in November. The action role-playing game that is set between the events of seasons 1 and 2 of the animated television series Young Justice. The game is being written with the help of show scribes Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti.
