Many avid gamers will be aware of the Wind Waker-inspired Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, which released on iOS back in November 2013. After this the adventure was enhanced when making its debut on consoles last year. Now publisher FDG Entertainment has re-confirmed – via its Twitter account – that Oceanhorn will make its way to the Nintendo Switch, noting that the game “will run beautifully”. This was stated alongside the statistic that Oceanhorn has now passed 1 million sales worldwide.
Back in October a press release from FDG Entertainment announced the game would be ported to a “Nintendo console”, making this release almost inevitable; Oceanhorn currently has no release date apart from “later this year” as mentioned above. The Zelda-inspired adventure released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016, garnering mixed to positive review scores. A sequel named Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is also in development, however has not been confirmed for the Nintendo system at the time of writing.
